An original necklace design by Laura McCabe ©2012.
This elaborately beaded necklace was inspired by an early 17th century Flemish chain in the permanent collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Each flower is constructed using an innovative bezeling technique which creates elegant settings for the Swarovski crystal dentelle stones that are further enhanced with combination stitching petals and surface embellishment. Connecters are constructed of circular components built using combination stitching.
Techniques: peyote stitch, herringbone stitch, right angle weave.
Skill level: intermediate to advanced
